The 9th Northeast Energy Economy Summit (CNNE 2024) was held in Changchun, Jilin Province on August 22-23, 2024, organized by the Jilin Provincial Association for Science and Technology, and co-hosted by the Jilin Wind and Solar Energy Society and Century New Energy Network.

The theme of this summit was "Coordinated Development of Wind, Solar, Energy Storage, and Hydrogen to Achieve Carbon Neutrality." The event combined exchanges, sharing, site visits, and discussions. On the afternoon of August 22, the summit officially kicked off with the Jilin Province New Energy Development Exchange Meeting, carbon trading training, and a site visit to Dongchi New Energy’s solid-state battery facility.

On August 23, the summit reached its peak, with a main venue and sub-forums dedicated to different sectors, including Photovoltaics & Energy Storage, Wind Power, and Hydrogen Energy, forming a "1+3" model to cater to various audiences. On that day, industry professionals, organizations, experts, scholars, and business representatives from sectors like photovoltaics, wind power, hydrogen energy, and energy storage attended the event. They engaged in deep discussions and analysis about cutting-edge technologies in wind, solar, energy storage, hydrogen, and the future of new energy development in Northeast China.

During the summit, Cong Lina, R&D Director of Dongchi New Energy, gave an in-depth analysis of the “High-Safety, High-Energy Polymer-Based Solid-State Lithium Batteries.” Cong pointed out that green energy sources such as wind and solar power rely heavily on energy storage batteries, and new energy vehicles rely on power batteries. Among these, lithium-ion batteries dominate both the energy storage and power battery sectors.
She emphasized the growing global demand for high-safety, high-energy, and wide-temperature-range solid-state batteries. Dongchi New Energy’s solid-state batteries leverage advanced lithium-ion battery technology, with continuous innovations and breakthroughs. The company focuses on polymer solid electrolytes, developing semi-solid energy storage batteries and quasi-solid power batteries with ultra-wide temperature ranges, suitable for both energy storage and power applications. These batteries offer high safety and energy density.
Dongchi Energy is the first company in China to industrialize polymer solid-state electrolyte films. Their technology is leading in the solid-state battery sector, and they will continue to deepen their research and development in this field, injecting new vitality into China’s new energy industry.
