
On August 16, the finals of the 13th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Jilin Division) were successfully concluded in Changchun New District. The event was hosted by the Jilin Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the Changchun New District Administrative Committee. Xu Yong, Director of the Changchun New District Administrative Committee, Fu Shuai, Deputy Director of the Jilin Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Sun Xiaohui, Second-level Inspector at the Jilin Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and Ma Haitao, Director of the Changchun Smart Legal Zone Management Office, attended the event and presented awards to the winning companies.

The China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is one of the largest, most prestigious, and influential competitions in China, attracting top-quality enterprises. The Jilin Division, as one of the first regional divisions in the country, has successfully held 12 editions since 2013, with Changchun New District hosting and organizing the competition for seven consecutive years. The competition has explored a development path for science and technology-driven entrepreneurship, supported by technology finance. It has brought together a large number of outstanding tech companies, excellent innovation service providers, and strategic investors. The event has attracted numerous science and technology enterprises and high-level talent, contributing to the acceleration of new productive forces and the promotion of Jilin Province’s transformation into an innovation-driven region.

A total of 131 companies participated in this year’s competition, with projects covering five major industries: next-generation information technology, biomedicine, high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials and new energy, new energy vehicles, and energy-saving and environmental protection. After a rigorous selection process, including preliminary and semi-final evaluations, 40 companies made it to the finals, with 19 companies from Changchun New District, nearly 50% of the finalists. The finals were divided into two categories: the Growth Group and the Startup Group. The participating companies presented their business plans using a variety of formats, such as graphics, data, and product demonstrations, showcasing their project advantages from multiple dimensions, including innovation and market feasibility. The expert judges evaluated each project based on technology and product innovation, market prospects and competition, management teams, financials, and financing, and announced the final scores on-site.
The competition awarded one first prize, two second prizes, and three third prizes for both the Growth Group and the Startup Group, along with 28 Excellence Awards and 9 Excellent Organization Awards. After intense competition, Jilin Dongchi New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. won the second prize in the Growth Group.
